Guide to Social Media for Organisations
Posted by Shane McCracken under blogging, promotional resourcesColin McKay, a Canadian Government communicator and blogger and social media pioneer extraordinaire, has written The Secret Underground Guide to Social Media for Organisations. It is not a technical guide. More a cultural, managerial guide to avoid the roadblocks set by IT and legal departments. Colin has blogged about it himself.
At 23 pages it is a quick and enjoyable read.

That’s good. I particularly like the “they just can’t stop oversharing.”
Describes us to a tee.

Thanks for the praise, but I’m far too humble for “extraordinaire”.

Colin, perhaps that’s the reason for being “extraordinaire”. I was telling a Govt contact just yesterday to have a look at your blogs.
She is reticent about starting to blog because the space is so argumentative and quite negative. I hold you up as an example of someone in the social media space who in a similar position can be positive, engaging and drive the conversation forward.
But I guess that’s just the Canadian way
